Food and Drinks are not allowed inside room C4 for most students.
Only the hawk, nester, toads, and the hop-alongs are allowed to eat and drink in the classroom.
The definition of room is slightly different for the food and drink policy. Two areas are NOT considered inside the room for the food and drink policy. These areas will be pointed out in class. The shelf under the TV is one area and the two student desks by the other door can be used to place food and drink without violating this policy. Students may access the food and drink in these locations at appropriate times.
Having any food or drink at a computer station will result in a violation of this policy. It does not matter if the food or drink is opened or closed. It is not allowed at the station in any form.
Consequences for violating this policy. The violating student will have a choice of one of the following :
1. Serve five minutes outside of class. This can not be served before or after the class the violation occurred. It may be served before or after any other class. It can NOT be served during a class period such as study hall. A second violation would result in ten minutes. A third fifteen minutes and so on. It must be served within 48 hours before or after school and can not be divided up.
2. Males - 5 Duck-Barks, Females - 5 frog-barks . Must be completed the last five minutes of class. Additional violations will increase by five.
3. Typing five statistic or programming problems. Must be done in my room during the students homeroom or study hall. Increases by five. It must be served within 48 hours. Some of these could be lengthy.
Example :
A student has a bottle of water on their desk. They select five duck-barks as their consequence. They do these as the end of the period. The next day they are eating candy in class. They select the time consequence and serve ten minutes after school. Still not learning their lesson, the same student has a bottle of water sitting on the floor around their desk. The consequence they select will consist of fifteen minutes, fifteen duck-barks, or 15 typed programming or statistics problems.
Failure to successfully complete a selected consequence will result in a 30 minute detention. Failure to serve a 30 minute detention will result in a referral with a recommendation of a one hour detention.
